Life Groups

While you'll meet loads of people at our Sunday services, it isn't the best place for forming relationships; these happen in smaller groups. It’s through joining a Life Group that people really get to know each other and share life - listening, learning and supporting each other through its ups and downs. You'll have space to ask questions, pray, be open, make friends and socialise as you discover what Jesus means when he said he has come to give us life in all its fullness.

We would like to see everyone connected to church be part of a Life Group and here at OBC our Life Groups are a big part of our church community.

If you’re new to OBC it’s a great place to get to know people and if you’ve been at OBC a while, they are there to help you take the next step on your Christian journey.

The groups vary in style and are held at different times during the week in homes.
Key elements of the group include learning from the Bible and each other, praying for one another and the wider world and of course socialising. Each group is different and meet in various ways. The best thing to do is give some a go and see where you want to be.

There's sometimes a little waiting list for Life Groups but we start new groups as often as possible.
Please contact Tom Bowring or Sue Bamber if you have any questions or would like to know more about the Life Groups.
